Brawn and Iron by Owen Smith


Owen Smith is a local artist who painted images of the construction of the Golden Gate Bridge and turned the paintings into mosaics that have been installed at the Laguna Honda Hospital, San Francisco. The paintings are on display at the George Krevsky Gallery in San Francisco.

I've always been impressed with Depression era art. It shows the spirit of the New Deal and a great faith in American know how. You see it in these paintings. Thanks for showing these to us.
