The Methodist Church in Half Moon Bay, California facing the Pacific coast. The church was established in 1864. Half Moon Bay is on the Peninsula south of San Francisco and is famous for its pumpkin festival each fall. Winning pumpkins in the contest for the largest pumpkin have topped 1,000 lbs (500 kilos) in weight in recent years.

I love that 'antique' design. Never sen one so elaborate.
Funny, I never think of any 'FALL' things in California!!!! I think of 'Fall Festival' things, more in the Southern USA. Okay, South East USA!

Good entry!
(Dat was some BIG 'punkin'!)

Love the curved whatchamacallit over the door's lunette. This could be in Vermont except for the blue trim of course.

What a neat header you put up this week. It is so fascinating. Your little Methodist church is so pretty. The blue and white contrasts are so appealing to the eye. I bet it is just as simple and pretty inside as it is outside. Once school is out, I hope to start photographing the doors of our historical homes in Lexington. I still do not know if I have a job next year, but I will be happy with or without. I have lots of things to keep me busy. genie
