Originally built as a West Coast assembly line for Model Ts, in World War II, this former Ford plant built Sherman tanks. It now houses a number of businesses and part of the assembly hall is now used as a venue for trade shows, concerts and other events for large numbers of people. Richmond Harbor was also home to one of several of Kaiser's shipyards that produced Liberty and Victory ships, including the Red Oak Victory, which is docked near this former Ford plant and is now being restored. Richmond Harbor is also home to Rosie the Riveter Park.
