It is a tiled maze like Henry the VIII had in his garden. I do not have a clue, but my guess it is in a large church or cathedral and the people are looking up at a ceiling mural or stained glass. Come on....tell us what it is!
It looks like a meditation labyrinth, but I've never seen one inside a church. What beautiful church has this? I love the light of the stained glass windows on the floor.
It seems to be maze in what I imagine is a cathedral. I tried to trace the route from the centre with my mouse but lost it and of course the two photographers in the foreground mask what I suspect is the entrance.
Thanks for telling us where it is and what it is....since I am an Anglican Episcopalian educated by Dominican nuns (that’s a mouthful), I am proud to have thought it was taken in a church.

It looks like a sacred labyrinth in what looks like a beautiful church?
A maze, a mandala or a small intestine. Although looking at the surroundings what Lily said is probably right.
Life is just one big maze. Don't get misled.
oh, shoot. What's it called. It's not Stations of the Cross, nor the Via Dolorosa. It's a prayer labyrinth!

The indoor Labyrinth at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco.
I like the stained glass reflections!
Everybody's way smarter than me today. I give up.

I love it -- wherever and whatever, it just appeals to me and I find it intriguing!
Inside a church or a museum?
Beautiful shot.

there must be something about people called Ann. I wanted to say small intestine, and i see the other Ann says small intestine as well.
You see, i am a teacher, andI just taught the digestive system to my kids.
Seriously, I am sure kids have a great time using it as a maze.
And what is it?
A beautiful meditation/prayer labyrinth indeed!
[I very much had the King of the Road song in mind when I titled ,y post... and it was great hearing Roger Miller sing it again! Thanks, Louis!]
A precursor of a corn maze.
Great view from above. Love this kind of shots.
I'm a-mazed at this photo. I guess you were on a balcony when you took this photo.
I imagine it's a Modern Art Museum and it's a kind of interactive exposition! :)
Right?

It's definitely inside a church. Don't know which one though.
A-mazing photo Louis!

I have been to Chartres cathedral. Is the labyrinth outside there? I don't recall seeing something like this there.
I've been to both Cathedrals but I remember Chartres better.
So what do I win for getting the correct answer? :)
I'd love to be there someday. I read the book about it. In Arkansas we walked a painted canvas copy of it.
A wonderful photo.
