Sunday Bridges

The Golden Gate appears to be wearing a crown of fog - note that the fog extends only to the deck of the bridge, allowing us to see the ship under the bridge passing through the Golden Gate.

I noticed that. Very disciplined and courteous fog you have.
Beautiful and mystifying.
lovely!
So beautiful, that blanket of fog! I love driving across the GG bridge out to the headlands and through Marin out to the coast on days like this. The blanket of fog lays there like Pellon Fleece we use for thin quilt batting. When one is below in a valley and the fog/clouds descend from the top of the hill it is just magical. And the tricks it does with the sunlight! Amazing. Do you know this little childhood poem I modified when living in SF, seeing my sneaky cat and the quiet fog and making the connection to switch the words :-): "My cat comes in on little fog feet."

Neato! How's that fancy new lens treating you?
I confess that I had to enlarge the photo to see the ship. :)
I tried to send you a bridge photo but I don't seem able to manage this type of Mr Linky. I got up to downloading from my computer and then the whole thing froze! This is the URL of my bridge!

Hi Louis & everybody,
Have a nice day
Best regards from Argentina
Elisa
wow! what nice bridges this sunday!
& from all around the world too.
I'm off to take a tour of them right now.
Thanks for hosting this fun series Louis.
: )
The fog suites the Golden Gate bridge.
Gives a feeling of a long journey ahead. Great moods in the capture.
Wow, I hope that fog is not as "heavy" as it looks.
It is true. there really is no bridge. MB
There seem to quite a few dusk shots of bridges this week. Nice. Your fog on the GG gives it a mysterious feel. My first memory of San Francisco (circa 1968) is watching the fog roll in from the ocean like a stone wall! I watched is cover the city, one inch at a time.
You caught an interesting moment there! Looks like the clouds have grown feet, hehe :D
This really deserves being enlarged. Just wonderful!
Lovely light in this morning shot, and so good of the GG to agree to support both the hidden traffic and mother nature's breath -:)
How polite of that fog to stop right there so you could take the photo!
Beautiful earth and sky tones «Louis» has caught in his photo.
I'm nearly out of bridge photos here in Covina. Does dental work count?
The water in front of the strip of land, what are those little sticks in the water?
I never tire of these views! Love the lighting and sky.
Hi Louis
Nice photo. And a great collection this week.
