Le dimanche des Rameaux / Palm Sunday

A freighter clears the bridge as a bank of springtime fog develops behind the Golden Gate.

Inspired by Bob Crowe's Thursday Arch Series, Cieldequimper's Wednesday Doorway Series and James' Weekend Reflection Series, «Louis» is launching this Sunday Bridge Series. Each Sunday, «Louis» will feature a photo of the Golden Gate Bridge. Feel free to join in with your own local bridge submissions! We'll see where (if anywhere) this goes!

Participants this Sunday include:
Carolyn - Oakland (CA-US) Daily Photo
Halcyon - "Here and There"
Eleanora - Roma Every Day
James - Newtown (PA-US) Daily Photo
Chuck - One a Day, Mostly Seattle
Kim - Seattle (WA-US) Daily Photo
Virginia - Paris Through My Lens
Señorita - San José (CA-US) Señorita
B SQUARED - Ft. Lauderdale (FL-US) Daily Photo
Mary Beth - Small City Scenes (WA-US)
Tash - Palos Verdes (CA-US) Daily Photo

Leif Hagen posted Bridge Over Troubled Waters a couple of days ago. If you look at Leif's post, listen to this while you are doing it!

Bob Crowe, part of the inspriation for this new meme, has this shot of the Eads Bridge with the St. Louis Arch.

I read all the posts I missed while on my little trip to San Antonio, Texas. Looking at your blog and Peter’s Paris always make me nostalgic as Paris and San Francisco are my two favorite cities. In lived in both and unfortunately could not stay in either. I have been back to Paris often since I left it (at least twice a year for 20 years) but never to San Francisco. Maybe this year I’ll go back and see the glorious Golden Gate again. All your photographs are so exquisite – I could look at them for hours.

Mazal tov Louis, your meme is off to a good start. And your own photo is so dreamy-beautiful.
I'll join y'all in a week or two, after things settle down from all the holidays.

Happy Palm Sunday.

I think this will be a popular series! I just hope I can find some other bridges to contribute. There aren't many worth a picture around here.

Happy Palm Sunday!

Well done Louis! I am glad to see so many participated. I look forward to seeing their shots as well.`

That's got to be the best looking bridge view in the world. It's really stunning!

Leora a dit…

You have such a dramatic bridge so close to your home! There is a tiny bridge over a tiny creek a block from my home. It makes boring shots. I've tried.

Success with you new theme.

Lois a dit…

Not too many bridges around here, so I will have to just enjoy everyone else's pictures!

Aaah, I missed this post, but it is a very good start. Well done!
