Two years ago today, «Louis la Vache» began San Francisco Bay Daily Photo with a very camera-shake filled image of the moon. Somehow, Gerald from Hyde Daily Photo and Olivier from Evry Daily Photo found the new blog and left its very first two comments.
As is the case with so many of us in the City Daily Photo blogger community, «Louis» owes the start of San Francisco Bay Daily Photo to Eric Tenin at Paris Daily Photo. «Louis» was reading PDP in its infancy when «Louis» moved to Paris in 2005, and checks in daily, even if he doesn't comment daily.
So, 743 posts later, «Louis» thanks all of you who read San Francisco Bay Daily photo, whether you leave a comment or not and «Louis» thanks Eric for starting PDP five years ago!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
Happy Blog birthday ? So where do you live exactly ? Paris or San Francisco ?
Happy 2nd Blogoversary to Louis, and many more to our favorite balcony view master who brings us a little closer to our old neighborhood and the familiar beauty of his surroundings.
I remember you first as a frequent commenter on PDP, and your many kind visits to SDP.
And Senorita, Louis has one of the most spectacular hillside views, directly opposite the Golden Gate in the Eastbay of the SF Bay Area.

Happy 2nd blog birthday, Louis! And thank you for sharing your lovely SF Bay with us. Looking forward to thousands more photos! :)
I didn't realize that our blog birthdays are so near each other. Mine is on the 21st! Though I didn't join CDP until May (I think).
Well bon anniversaire Louis ;-) And thank you for being such a true visitor to PDP.
I don't understand, you moved to Paris in 2005?!
Thanks, Kim !
OKKKKKK! I understand now!
Eric (and everyone else!)
Thank you for your kind words, Eric -
Blogger was having a problem this morning. I set that to post on Jeudi le 20 mars, but Blogger posted it this morning - showing the correct date and day.
Yes, I moved to Paris in 2005 to attend L'école boulangerie et pâtisserie de Paris in Bercy. I returned to Californie in 2007.
My alter-ego, «Louis la Vache» est une vache Normande because my mother's family originated around Bayeux.
They fled France to Guernsey during the Huguenot Persecutions. From Guernsey they came to les États-Unis in 1806.
I picked «Louis» as my alter-ego because when I lived in France, my friends accused me of trying sinlge-handedly to support the dairy farmers in Normandie because of the amount of cheese and yogurt I ate. Une vache was also fitting because I can be as dim-witted as une vache...
Happy Anniversary!!! Have a cup of coffee on me.
Congratulations on your 2nd blog anniversary! Even Eric Tennin commented - wow!
Happy blogiversary!!!
I'm glad you stayed around. I always enjoy your foggy and sunny views. :)
Interesting, Hyde was one of the first to comment on our blog as well!
God bless you!

By the way, happy anniversary!
God bless you!

Ciao! I love the back stories behind «Louis» and how utterly wonderful, I didn't know there was such a place as an école boulangerie et pâtisserie!! That's my kinda place!!!!
Another thing we have in common is our adoration of dairy. My epitaph (many many years from now) will read "she died by cheese"
Bisou,
Ele xx
Happy birthday to your blog!
Félicitations! I also adore les vaches de Normandie and all their products. Do you still make pastries and breads?
Congrats on the two year anniversary!
Bon anniversaire, «Louis». May you have many more. And thanks for your comments on my CDP blog.
Congratulations for your anniversary on the 20th. May you have many more.
Ah, Louis, Blogirthday Wishes to you. You're sense of humor is always evident. Looking forward to more fine divine bovine contributions!

Bon deuxieme anniversaire, M. "LlV".
Isn't it interesting how we hold those 1st commenters dear to our hearts?
I loved reading the little bio on Louis La Vache. My husband's paternal line is from Swiss Huguenot line...I think the 1st ancestors came here in the late 1700's but I'll have to check on that again. So fascinating. And L'ecole sounds like a dream come true.
Happy blog Birthday Louis! I love visiting here to see your photos of the Bay as well as all the other interesting things you post along with your great sense of humor.

Happy Anniversary Louis. I always enjoy your San Fran photos, even when I don't comment. :)
Congrats to you! Louis is one very blessed cow to have lived in my favorite city. I always dream of living in Paris for a few years. I at least had several years in the East Bay. :)
Belated congratulations, dear Louis! Your recent photos are really wonderful. I have been so busy (and a bit sick) in the past few months that I have not been able to visit my blogger friends very often.
