It is rare for the Bay Area to have high winds, but this day is an exception to the rule. Wind gusts over 40 mph, some reaching as high as 60 mph, blasted the Bay. When you enlarge the image, note how choppy the water is.

Beautiful picture. I live in Sonoma County and remember this day with the high winds. Is this the day the cable on Bay Bridge crashed into three cars? Haven't viewed your blog in a while; still nice pictures. :)
