Thanks for checking in at Paree! Nice to know you had a good experience at Le Beaujolais! We ate dinner there and everyone was wonderful--great waitress...I'll post a photo of her later (when I can find it)...

San Francisco is also a favorite town of mine...and this is a beautiful shot! Almost has a mythical quality to it!

Superb shots as usual. Give me Vaux-le-Vicomte any time. I much prefer Fouquet's folly to that of Louis XIV. And yes, I know the history. One day I'll post about it, I'm just far too lazy. :-(

Btw, did you know that Versailles was built on Louis XIII's hunting lodge and that Louis XIV insisted that it be kept in his father's style? Hence the inner courtyard of bricks that contrasts with the rest.
