Le Premier Mai: Le Muguet Porte Bonheur
1 May - the Lilly of the Valley brings happiness!
Le Premier Mai is La Fête du Muguet in France. The tradition on this day is to give friends and loved ones a little bouquet of muguet, Lilly-of-the-Valley, for wishes of happiness and to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Louis la Vache wishes happiness for all his readers and friends!
~Louis~ thank you so much for the bouquet de muguet! I send you thoughts of the muguet that only today bloomed in my garden. As a child, they were the scent and sight I loved at my French Canadian grandmother's house. Wonderful serendipity here!

How lovely! Thanks for sharing!
Oh! Is one supposed to post white in honor of the first of May? Or perhaps dance around a flag pole? At least I posted a white flower.
My mother used to grow lilies of the valley.
