While the Beach Bum Birds were taking a chill pill, nearby these two children were being acrobats on the beach. "Louis" took about 20 shots, trying to capture the child on the left in a cartwheel, but the child was too fast and the camera too slow. So we have to settle for this image of the child about to launch into another cartwheel.

What a nice photo, it shows the playfulness of the children really well.
I saw some kids taking a bath in the Pacific the other day, on the stretch of beach near Emeryville. Brrrrr... just the thought... They must have a very high metabolism. They didn't even look cold. My feet weren't even in the water and I got cold vicariously just by looking at them.
No sharks in sight?
Somehow your beautiful photograph immediately evoked memories of a favorite movie and I imagined the flash of a black stallion galloping through the foamy with the boys in gleeful pursuit.

How many days ago were the gulls? And I still want (and need) to chill out with these kids! No cartwheels from me though. ;D
Lovely photo...envy the kids! I could never do cartwheels...somersaults yes, but cartwheels, nope.
Did you re-set your ISO to a higher speed? 1600 should do it ...
BUT this is very nice as is ...

Nice photo, I like the blue of the water.
Does your camera have speed setting. If so Speed 1600 - 2000
If it doesn't have setting try if it has it a sport mode setting.
Anyway it's still a beautiful image. How blue is the sea, and the children are capturely perfectly in action.
Great photo!! If your camera has the multi-frame (sports) mode, you can hold down the shutter button and capture several frames in succession...bound to get the one you want, then delete the ones you dont!
