A lone sailboat (left center) makes its way across a foggy Bay. If you look carefully, you'll see a cargo ship under the Golden Gate Bridge. Mark Twain wrote that the coldest winter he ever spent was July in San Francisco. Today was one of those days...

I love the Twain reference! This is a great show, Louis.
Love the Twain quote..I do see the bridge..pretty area..
Beautiful! What a dreamy place to live and capture photos!
Poor Louis you have a manx sky, but it's still mysterious and atmospheric with the ghostly bridge. Makes it very dramatic under the ominous sky.
What a grey murky day it was there...one of those days when the line between the sky and the land/water is blurred.
The sailboat is very small in comparison to the grandeur of the overall landscape. The Twain quote is apropos; it even *looks* cold in this photo! Nice Sky Watch, "Louis."
Gorgeous collection of grays and an enlarged view did show me a sailboat and the bridge! Wow.
thanks for sharing
p.s. You are right indeed: two seasons in MN; winter & construction and this actually holds true for Chicago too. And the new bridge that fell last summer is nearly done!
Beautiful photo!! Happy SWF!
I love the softness of everything in the photo...
This is so gorgeous. It looks like a watercolor painting. Great capture for Sky Watch.
Yikes that does look cold!!!
The island of New Britain is awash with amazing WWII sites. if you go back through my older posts you will see lots of them - the underground hospital, barge tunnels, Peace Memorial, war museum etc etc
And on days like this...I believe the coffee will sell well!!!! nice...
Cool and calm I like the bridge in the misty distance. Happy SWF.
hmmm...the cold would be a nice relief from the heat out here in Indonesia....
Great shot!!

First, my apologies for a bit of cut and paste commenting. I have been doing the rounds via Bloglines and looking at all the pictures from my favourite photo blogs, but haven’t been leaving comments. Generally, I try to comment as much as I can (I know how good it is for ‘morale’ to know that someone is out there appreciating them), but after the birth of my second son, I am a bit knackered to think up something witty and insightful on the hop. Thus the resort to Control+C and Control+P!
Kris from Hobart, Tasmania.
Interesting photo, Louis.
Well done.
Many years ago, my family and I took a bay cruise in July. We nearly froze to death on the upper deck outside.
Come visit anytime,
Troy
Twain was a funny guy! But I bet you didn't feel funny in the chilly air!
Oooh, I've been there on one of "those days" - as a silly tourist dressed for summer. I was a lot wiser on the next visit. :-)
Beautiful shot, Louis.
Your Bridge shots are beautiful.
Great capture on a coldddayyyyy.
Fog can add a air of peace to a picture. Your boat drifting in the fog is very serene
Cool shot... I was over in your neck-of-the-woods on Wednesday... I've got to go back and check out that photography gallery in Point Richmond... Looked interesting...
Wow Louis! You really are the world traveler... from San Fran to the Village OKC. :)
I like today's look at the Bay. I wouldn't mind having a cool day to break up the heat & humidity here in Mississippi.
The landscape looks really cold. This is a great picture with an amazing atmosphere.
Thanks for your visit and your kind comment.
Happy Sky Watch!

Another lovely shot. I see the cargo ship! Here it's pouring and we are having a thunderstorm.
To answer your question, little Radovan bought some worry beads for himself and a postcard of Aphrodite... :<)
