"P" is for Praying Louis won't take his photo!
La petite péninsule, Albany Point, that is seen so often in the foreground of our photos was used for years by builders as a dump for waste from construction sites. This dumping was outlawed in the 1980s, and la petite péninsule is very gradually reverting to nature. Creative visitors to la petite péninsule, taking the readily-available industrial waste, have created many interesting objets d'art, including this homme, who seems to be praying that Louis won't take his photo. That's Point Isabel, also frequently seen in our photos, in the background.

A good tale of reclamation
How very interesting. Have a great week...
I think that this could give me a heart attack upon seeing it for the first time!
A prayer unanswered - you nailed him anyway and a good shot it is! Never know what artworks you may see out on that point.
I love statues! this is interesting.

Troy and Martha
wow...scary P for me :D
My P post in here Thanks
Interesting take on the letter P. You captured the perfect sculpture "praying".
Very touching photo, Louis. This creation looks like an American Indian, who is lamenting the destruction of his native habitat... So sad what we "civilized" beings have done and are still doing. I'll be optimistic and hope that we can slowly bring our damaging acts to a halt.
Love it!
A great way to show one`s point of view.
Ida

Bonjour, Kris McCracken from Hobart, Australia!
Indeed, as Louis et Mme. la Vache approached it, we were uphill and around a curve from it. It gave Mme. la Vache quite a start when she saw it.
It is probably 10' tall and is more imposing than the photo would indicate.
Indeed, raf, there is quite a surprising collection of things creative people have made from the scrap on Albany Point. Louis will show more of these in future posts.

They have an interesting assortment of photos!
Indeed, "Picturing of Life", as Louis replied to Kris McCracken, this figure gave Mme. la Vache quite a start as we came around the bend uphill from it.

Very interesting.
I like Bibi's comment....
I had written a would-be funny comment but after reading hers, I removed it.

Marie writes the Montpellier (FR) Daily Photo. "Louis" has the link to her blog in the right sidebar.
Marie, "Louis" feels there is room for a humorous comment and that would still, I think, respect Bibi's comment - "Louis" set the stage for a humorous comment by writing that the figure seems to be praying that "Louis" won't take his photo. "Louis" say, "post it if you wish!"
Very interesting "P" post.
That's John, another of our Norwegian friends!
